Rubber to Metal Bonding Adhesive 823GB Alternative of Chemlok 220/6125/6220
Description
Rubber to Metal Bonding Adhesive 823GB Alternative of Chemlok 220/6125/6220 is multifunctional adhesive suitable for bonding various elastomer compounds to substrates during the vulcanization process as a cover coat adhesive. It is formulated without heavy metals and composed of a mixture of polymers, organic compounds and mineral fillers dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent system.
This adhesive system will bond compounds based on natural rubber (NR), polyisoprene (IR), styrene-butadiene (SBR), polybutadiene (BR), polychloroprene (CR) and nitrile (NBR) polymers to metal.
Applicable Range
Used as a cover coat adhesive and in combination with a primer adhesive, suitable for the following types of rubber:
Natural rubber (NR), Natural & butadiene rubber (NR+BR), Polyisoprene rubber (IR), Butadiene rubber (BR), Chloroprene rubber (CR), Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), etc.

Applying Rubber to Metal Bonding Adhesive 823GB Alternative of Chemlok 220/6125/6220
Stirring: During the storage process of 823GB, some sediment will settle at the bottom of the container. Before painting, it must be thoroughly stirred to achieve uniform mixing before use; If the painting process is long, stir at high speed for 5-10 minutes every 2 hours.
Diluting: This product can also be diluted with diluents according to actual operational needs. It is recommended to dilute according to the amount used. Diluted products should not be stored for a long time.
Brush coating method: no dilution is required, or 100 parts of 823GB and 10 parts of diluent.
Roller coating method: no dilution is required, or 100 parts of 823GB and 10 parts of diluent.
Dip: 100 parts of 823GB and 20-30 parts of diluen.
Spray method: 100 parts of 823GB and 50-100 parts of diluent.
Coating: This product can be coated by brushing, dipping, roller coating, spraying, and other methods. The processing layer should be uniform to avoid excessive overflow.
Cover coating: Dry film thickness(DFT) 10-20μm.
Drying: Drying at room temperature takes about 45-60 minutes, and forced drying can shorten the drying time.
Product storage: This product needs to be stored in a dry room temperature environment to avoid prolonged exposure to high humidity and high temperature environments.
Cleaning: Before heating vulcanization, dip a rag in xylene solvent to remove excess treatment agent spilt around. Once cured, solvent cannot be removed.
Vulcanization: Vulcanization of rubber and adhesive at the same time can obtain the best bonding properties. When the coating is placed in the molding mold, it should be quickly filled with rubber vulcanization. The actual curing condition depends on the curing condition of the rubber.
Shelf life/Storage
Shelf life is 12 months from date of shipment when stored at < 37℃ in original, unopened container. Do not store or use near heat, sparks or open flame.
Precautions
This product is volatile, please close the container after use.
Solvent steam is harmful, pay attention to fire prevention in the workplace, pay attention to low ventilation, prevent long-term inhalation or long-term skin contact.
Please refer to SDS for more safety information.
